I've been to the gym over the past few weeks, but not as many times as I would like. School has just been eating up so much of my time. I guess that's good, though, since it is my job. The good news is that I've been able to go down one more belt hole, so now I am probably less than a 32 inch waist now. It does feel good.
I had my doctor's visit today, and I'm doing pretty well. All of the testing resulted in great things (the doctor used the word "perfect" a few times) except for my newest "disease", as my doctor put it (somewhat tongue-in-cheek): I have a vitamin D deficiency. So, now, when I take my Lipitor, I have to pop yet one more pill. I guess it could be much worse. My glucose is higher than it should be, but he thinks the vitamin D could easily help bring that down. All in all -- I'm quite healthy. My new blood levels are on this page.
Last weekend, we went to Ponte Vedra to visit some old friends, the rabbi and his family I used to live with in Lakeland. We had the chance to spend Sukkot together, and I enjoyed a beautiful Conservative synagogue service. I missed that so much. I missed the music, the prayers, the entire liturgy. Most of all, I missed the family we went to see. It had been about 7 years since we had seen each other, and I don't want to leave that much time between visits again.
So, that's the deal. I promise I'll be better with my blogging. :-)
