Be careful what you wish for...

This morning, I ran around 8:00 a.m. (hoping to avoid the Hades-like heat), and I even wore my sweat-cap (see picture) which probably looks ridiculous, but it worked. Sweat didn't pour down my face. So, I think I will continue to use it as long as it's hot out when I run. Plus, I also used a white running shirt so I wouldn't be baking.

In the middle of the run, I thought to myself (talking to G-d, as it were), "It wouldn't kill you for a little cloud cover to hide the sun?"

Well, a few minutes later, dark, ominous clouds rolled above my head and then--you guessed it--rain fell... for about ten minutes. Now, it felt nice, but it was a little annoying. So now, when I talk with He Who Sends Rain Clouds, I will make sure I am much more specific with my request. In any event, I completed my 8 mile run, feeling the pain of one annoying blister. Oh, and I'm down to 189 (from 194 since last week). I don't know how accurate that is, but if I am burning about 1100 calories a day at the gym or running PLUS burning them throughout the day, perhaps I am going to lose the 10 pounds the doctor wanted me to lose.
